A Big Thanks. . .

Thank you for all of the well wishes about Kym's grandma. Your thoughts and comments been deeply appreciated.

On a much lighter note, thank you also for the feedback I've received via email, MySpace, and the comments section on this blog about my mission here. Your comments are very encouraging. My will power is weak, but I am a media whore and if I know people are watching then I will likely stay focused and pull this thing through. I'm shallow like that.

I have lost weight already, but I'm gonna wait until Wednesday to share how much (and make sure I can keep it off.) The Wednesday Weigh-In will probably be a regular feature here. I used to weigh myself everyday, but it fluctuates so much I think it is more useful to weigh once a week.

I promise to get more creative with these posts over time. I want it to be entertaining for everyone so you'll have a reason to come back other than keeping track of how many burritos I consume. I also plan on starting actual real-life exercise soon so that'll bring good posts and pictures I'm sure.

Sorry that my quick thanks turned into a long ramble, but I tend to overdo things-- like eating and sitting still for long periods of time.

I'm sorry to hear about Kym's grandma, that's rough. Especially at that age when things are tough anyway. :(.
On a lighter note, I thought the pie(yes, pie) chart was quite amusing, it's seems like not much has changed since high school. You should make black bean burritos with low fat/carb tortillas at home if you get cravings, they seem to satiate mine and they are ALOT less fattening, just don't go crazy w/ cheese and sour cream. . .I know . . .I know.

Well, it's gotta be almost impossible to lose weight when there are soooooooooooooo many wonderful burrito, Chinese food, and dirty burger establishments around. And how do you not put your immediately family through hell when you're trying to watch what you take in while you have three growing babies who need plenty o' calories? Cheers to you, Tj. I am sooooooooooooooooo drunk right now.
